However, after viewing this performance, one is left wondering what happened. She is all about sharp fast paced dancing that renders one in disbelief. It’s no surprise that Britney lip-synced the entire performance. Still, MTV could have worked to keep the angles more flattering (and at a respectful distance).
No, she does not have the six-pack she once championed, but she is by no means overweight. Maybe she forgot a brush, but Louisiana’s pride and joy definitely did not comb her hair.
That being said, MTV did a perfect job of defining the flaws with this performance-and surging a negative response-beginning with Britney’s appearance. Additionally, I can capture footage of the crowd to fill in as needed. This is important to keep in mind, as an editor, because if I see that Britney is forgetting words, I know to use the camera that doesn’t detail her lips.
